Philippe Austruy, a wine lover and a nomadic collector, has turned La Commanderie de Peyrassol into one of the largest open-air collections in Europe. In the middle of the vineyards, dotted around the woods and in dedicated spaces for the most delicate pieces, visitors will discover works of art by Daniel Buren, Niki de Saint Phalle, Dan Graham, Carsten Höller, Bertrand Lavier, Richard Long, Ugo Rondinone, Lee Ufan, Victor Vasarely, Joana Vasconcelos and Bernar Venet. These masterpieces interact with the idyllic landscape and awaken in the visitor the pleasure of discovering contemporary art.
